Eligibility

Business eligibility

Innovation Vouchers are funded through the European Regional Development Fund. Businesses must demonstrate their eligibility by completing the SME eligibility form before they can receive business support or an Innovation Voucher.

Service provider eligibility

Organisations must have:

• Relevant expertise and specialisms which fit with the InCrops mission to stimulate the bioeconomy
• A Track record of demonstrable application of knowledge to support the development of new products, processes and services
• A demonstrable track record of Knowledge Transfer
• Experience of working with SMEs

Project eligibility

Suitable projects are those focussed on developing:

• innovative ideas;
• new improved products, processes or services or;
• technical consultancy.

The overall aim of the scheme is to support the regional Bioeconomy, and to increase the use of renewable plant-based resources, especially in the areas of biobased materials, biobased chemicals, algal technologies, sustainable agriculture and the creative industries.

Ineligible activities

In order to adhere to European guidelines, we cannot offer to support to:

• Individuals applying for multiple innovation vouchers under different company names.
• A business that only provides local services and serves an individual's needs.
• Projects on developing marketing activities and activities purely associated with use of IT (e.g. the development of a smartphone app).
• Businesses solely engaged in primary production, the cultivation of crops and husbandary of livestock, unless you are able to show that you have the capacity to undertake activity that will have a wider impact within the Agrifood sector.
